According ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, per a source, Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid will start Game 1 against the Atlanta Hawks.
Embiid suffered a small lateral meniscus tear in his right knee when he took a tumble in Game 4 of the team’s opening round series against the the Washington Wizards.
He was going to be initially considered a game-time decision.
This season has arguably been Embiid’s best, he came into the season in better shape and averaged 28.5 points and 10.6 rebounds on .513/.377/.859 shooting splits and was a contender for MVP.
